Hello everyone! I am sorry to have
missed writing you last month. What a
Month! I did not feel well and it
seamed as though there was never enough
time to get everything done. Well, that
is enough of that.
We have been talking about sharing our
faith over the past few months. The
theme continues this month. Take some
time and read Colossians 4:3-4. These
two verses as well as a prayer was
shared with me at the Billy Graham
School of Evangelism in March. I love
it and have been using it. In fact, a
door opened this week.
The prayer is three fold:
1)
Lord, open a Door
2)
Lord, open their Heart
3)
Lord, open my Mouth
I think when we pray this way, we will
be looking for opportunities to share
our faith. We will hear people's cry
for help. We will be more sensitive to
others around us. Think about some
people who you would like to share your
faith with. Now pray the above prayer
with them in mind. Maybe it would go
something like the following. I will
use my name in the exercise, but you
insert the name of the person you are
praying for.
Lord, would you open the door, so that I
might be able to talk with Mike about
his need for You. May his heart be
sensitive to Your plan for his life.
Lord, go before me and prepare the
way. Then Lord, open my mouth, that I
might share those wonderful words of
Life. May Mike hear, receive, and be
changed. I praise You for all You do!
